BIG
With the BIG register, the government safeguards the minimum level of knowledge and skills that may be required of a healthcare professional. By registration in the BIG-register an obstetrician is authorized to practice her profession. The requirement for (re)registration is that she keeps her expertise and skills up to date.

Quality Register of Midwives
Registration in the Quality Register of Midwives indicates that the midwife is active and has invested in acquiring knowledge and skills during an agreed period according to the standard of the profession by following training and continuing education. All midwives at 040verloskunde are registered in the Quality Register of Midwives.

Echo Register
The BEN maintains an ultrasound register. Ultrasound specialists who are registered in this register meet the (training) requirements to perform ultrasounds. The ultrasound surgeons of 040verloskunde are registered in this register and are authorized to perform first-line ultrasounds.
Health Insurers
040verloskunde meets the requirements set by health insurers for a midwife practice, therefore we have contracts with all health insurers in the Netherlands. Obstetric care is reimbursed from the basic package.
