In some situations, there may be additional risks or something goes wrong. Then specialist care from a gynecologist may be needed. For these women, the joint consultation hour of 040verloskunde is the gynecologists of the Catharina Hospital and Máxima Medical Center. The gynecologists come to our practice locations for a joint appointment or check-up with you and one of our obstetricians. We coordinate our records so that all care is clear and well-organized for everyone. All care specifically tailored to and with you and your partner. Also all check-ups such as blood pressure and an ultrasound take place at the practice, so you do not have to go to the hospital for these.
040verloskunde works extra intensively with the Catharina Hospital. 040verloskunde has an extra consultation location within the hospital (route 79) especially for pregnant women who need a little extra attention because there is a medical risk. The advantage is that you get a pregnancy check-up together with your own midwife and the gynecologist in the hospital if this is necessary. If the need arises, there is also the possibility of immediate blood sampling or a tour of the delivery rooms.
040verloskunde has been working very closely with the Máxima Medical Center for a long time. That’s why we do consultations together. Of course, we also supervise your delivery in the MMC (or another hospital of your choice such as the Catharina Hospital or the Anna Hospital). Because we work so closely together and have short lines of communication, we can always arrange the best care for you. The gynecologists of Máxima MC come to our obstetric center in Eindhoven for our joint consultations with our midwives and with you. All care specially tailored to you. With us you always get that little bit extra! Personal attention comes first.
The collaboration in brief
Pregnancy is a very beautiful period in your life. Full of expectation and joy, but of course also the necessary uncertainty and questions. Fortunately, it almost always goes well and your body provides optimal conditions for the baby to grow and develop. During the pregnancy you will have several check-ups with the midwife to make sure everything is going well and that any peculiarities can be recognized and treated in time. In some situations there may be extra risks or something goes wrong. Then specialist care from a gynecologist may be needed. For these women, the joint consultation of 040verloskunde and the Catharina Hospital is intended.

For years, 040verloskunde has strived to create a comprehensive network of professionals in and around birth care to work together to provide the healthiest and safest possible care around pregnancy and birth. This collaboration is called Integral Birth Care. The goal of this close collaboration is to seamlessly connect the care in the midwife’s practice and the care in the hospital, so that you get the best care available in the best place for you. In addition, we have weekly multidisciplinary consultations with the hospitals about pregnant women who need just that little bit of extra care. In this way, any risks are identified early on in the pregnancy and agreements are made about support during the pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period.
