If you have had an IUD placed at our practice through 040anticonception, you will receive an ultrasound at the time of your IUD placement and 4-6 weeks after placement if you wish. We will then check to see if the IUD is in the correct location in your uterus, the legs have unfolded properly and if there are no peculiarities to be seen in your ovaries (ovaries).
Check-up ultrasound at your own request
Should you have an IUD and experience some symptoms, you can also come to us for a check-up ultrasound of your IUD. Even if the IUD was not placed by our own team. Sometimes, after a few years, it’s just nice to know that everything is okay. You can call the assistant for an appointment. You can then visit us on short notice. The cost of this IUD check ultrasound is not always covered by your insurance company. The cost for this ultrasound is € 50.37.
