Blood tests during pregnancy

Blood is drawn at one of Diagnostics for You’s locations through a needle in your arm (venipuncture). The blood test is a standard procedure for every pregnant woman, but of course you decide whether or not you want it done. We usually have the results of the blood test within a week. You will hear the results at your next check-up, unless something abnormal is found, in which case we will contact you immediately. Do realize that these tests are done for a reason. It is important for your baby’s health to know if there are any abnormalities in your blood.
