In most cases, the placenta has grown up enough. This happens in pregnancy with the growth of the uterus. At 32 weeks, we want the placenta to be at least 2 centimeters away from the cervix, otherwise you run the risk of complications. This ultrasound is both through the abdomen and an internal vaginal ultrasound, because the cervix needs to be well visualized. The midwife will tell you more about it at the consultation.
